Description of the positions:

Possible topics include, but are not limited to, gemstone enhancement (heating, irradiation), gem synthesis, radiation-damaged accessories, characterisation and annealing of radioactive minerals from the heavy mineral fraction in placers, etc. PhD students will work in particular with spectrometers (Horiba LabRAM Evolution, Bruker Vertex 80, Horiba Fluorolog3), including – to a moderate extent – practical teaching and training of students and guest analysts.
Duration of contract: We aim to fill the positions by 01 October 2024. The employment duration is 4 years.
