We have a great opportunity to join our Faculty Administration team in the Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences, based within the University of Surrey.

The Faculty is a truly inspirational and fascinating environment to work in. Delivering teaching to over 4000 undergraduate students training to be the Nurses, Paramedics, Midwives, Bioscientists, Psychologists, Medics and Veterinary Surgeons of the future.

The position will suit someone who has strong organisation and planning skills, enjoys working with people and thrives on variety.

Our facilities and those of the wider University present a wonderful backdrop for the right person to contribute to wider society and develop their skills and career.

The role

You’ll become a key team member, working as part of a motivated team with the opportunity to build your skills and career supporting central faculty operations. Responsible for supporting key administrative activities and senior faculty staff members, supporting clinical exams in our Schools of Veterinary Medicine and new School of Medicine and helping organise Faculty meetings, events and conferences. There’s lots of variety, lots of interaction with academics, research colleagues and students and the opportunity to learn and develop.

This is a fixed-term position, available as maternity cover for an existing member of staff.

About you

We are looking for an organised, enthusiastic individual with a genuine interest in administration.

You will be familiar with working autonomously and as part of a wider team. You’ll be confident in dealing with staff queries, have a hands-on approach and be willing to support the wide PA/administration team when required. Training will be in place to support you and help you develop in the role.

In addition to salary, you will receive a generous annual leave entitlement, a great pension, discount to Surrey Sports Park, childcare assistance, and excellent development opportunities.

If you are enthusiastic, keen to join the University and are motivated to do things differently and open up a world of new possibilities, we would be delighted to hear from you. Please ensure you upload a CV when you apply.
